Maletick, James "Big Jim"

James "Big Jim" Maletick of Hammond, IN, passed away on Saturday,
November 13, 2004, at the age of 73. He is survived by his close friend,
Louise Meuzellaar. Mr. Maletick was a retired cleaner at the Chicago
Stamping Plant and a member of UAW Local 588. He served in the United
States Army. Funeral arrangements were made by Chapel Lawn Funeral
Home and Memorial Gardens, 8178 Cline Ave., Schererville, IN. Interment was
private.
Martin, John E.

John E. Martin, 51, of Grant Park, IL died Friday (July 15, 2005) at his home,
after a long battle with emphysema. A memorial visitation and service will be
held from 7:00 - 8:00 p.m. Friday, July 22, at the Hub Funeral Chapel, 111 S.
Maple, in Grant Park. Burial will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Auburn Cemetery,
Auburn, IL.

Mr. Martin worked at the Ford Motor Company in Chicago Heights from 1977 -
1979 as an Automation Tender. He was also employed as a truck driver.

Mr. Martin's father, N.H. Tex Martin was a retired millwright at the Stamping
Plant and a member of UAW Local 588. He died in 1997. His mother, Velma
Martin is a regular member at the Retirees Pot Luck meeting each month.
Besides his mother, he is survived by one son, Christopher Lee Martin of
Arkansas; one sister, Sharon Martin of Park Forest; one niece, Jayme Martin
of Park Forest; and many friends.

He served in the U.S. Air Force stationed at Tinker Air Force Base in
Oklahoma. He enjoyed crossword puzzles, wood crafts and gardening.

Maxwell, James R.

James R. Maxwell, 79, of Manteno, died Friday, April 28, 2006 at Provena Our
Lady of Victory in Bourbonnais, IL. Mr. Maxwell was a Retired Automation
Tender Welding Line at the Chicago Stamping Plant and a member of UAW
Local 588.

He is survived by his wife, Mary; his two sons and one daughter-in-law, Jerry
and Debbie Maxwell of Dallas, TX and Gregory Maxwell of Manteno; his
daughter, Roxanne Maxwell of San Diego, CA; his two stepsons and one
stepdaughter-in-law, Mark and Paula Rogers, and Timothy Rogers, all of
Manteno; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He is also survived
by his brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Georgia Maxwell of Harrisburg.

He was preceded in death by his stepson, Michael A. Rogers; his sister, Flo
Prather; and his brother, William Maxwell.

Mr. Maxwell retired from Ford Motor Company after 27 years of service. He
was a U.S. Army Veteran and a member of the Manteno American Legion,
VFW and Masons. He enjoyed feeding birds, gardening, squirrel hunting,
cooking and playing pool.

Funeral arrangements were provided by Brown Funeral Home in Manteno with
visitation at the funeral home on Monday and a service the next day. Burial
was in Elmwood Cemetery, Manteno.

Delmar May, Retired Fork Truck driver and member of UAW Local 588
passed away recently. Funeral arrangements were handled by the Bailey
Funeral Home, 6020 S. Oakwood Avenue, North Judson, IN.

Funeral Services will take place on Thursday, May 15, 2003 at 1:00 p.m. at
the Bible Baptist Church, 3915 E. 400 S. Street, Knox, IN.
May, Donald Wayne

Donald Wayne May, age 62, a retired welder at the Chicago Stamping Plant
and a member of UAW Local 588, passed away on Wednesday, October 6,
2004. He had lived in Lowell, IN.

Mr. May is survived by his wife, Hilda; four children, Duana (Jay) Green of
Hebron, Sheila (Todd) Steward of Lowell, Jacki (Mike) Mitsch of Lowell and
Don (Julee) May of Lowell; nine grandchildren; his mother, Louise May of
Fayetteville, TN; one sister, Dean (Rayburn) Reed of Fayetteville, TN; one
brother, Phillip (Betty) May of Lowell; numerous nieces and nephews. He was
preceded in death by his father, Robert May and one sister, Robbie Lackey.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 9, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. at
the Sheets Funeral Home, 604 E. Commercial Ave., Lowell, IN. Pastor Charles
Hochmuth officiating. Burial will follow at Plum Grove Cemetery in Lowell, IN.
Visitation is on Friday from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. May retired from Ford Motor Co. after 43 years of service. He was a U.S.
Army Veteran serving in Germany during the Vietnam War and was an avid
fisherman.
McBee, James A.

James A. McBee, age 67, of Crete, IL passed away June 6, 2006. He was a
retired automation press operator at the Chicago Stamping Plant and a
member of UAW Local 588.

Visitation will be Friday, June 9 from 3:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the Smits Funeral
Home - Steger Memorial Chapel (3045 Chicago Road, Steger, IL). A funeral
service will be held on Saturday at 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment
will be private.

Mr. McBee is survived by his wife, Ola; his daughter, Kimberly Anderson, and
his grandson, Christopher O'Brien. He is also survived by his brothers, Ralph
(Juanita) of Greenwood, IN, Arthur (Marcella) of Dechard, TN, Dennis
(MaryKay) of Winchester, TN, and Michael of Dechard, TN, and his sister,
Sylvia Morris of St. Cloud, FL. He was preceded in death by his brother, Bruce.

Mr. McBee retired from Ford Motor Company after 31 years of service. He
also served in the US Marines.

Arthur J. McGonigal, 86, formerly of Chicago Heights, died March 8, 2004. He
was a retired die setter for Ford Stamping Plant and a member of UAW Local

Meyer, Gerd W.

Gerd W. Meyer, a retired Tool and Die Maker from the Chicago Stamping
Plant, passed away November 28, 2003. He was 71 and a resident of South
Chicago Heights. He had worked for Ford Motor Company for 37 years.

Mr. Meyer is survived by his wife, Doreen; his daughter, Krista (Randy)
Buchmeier; his son, Dennis (Christine) Meyer; his granddaughters, Amanda
and Abbey Buchmeier; his sister, Anni Lehmann; and his brother Alfred
(Irene) Meyer. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Adolph
and Anna Meyer; and his brothers Addi Meyer and Heinz Hellmer.

Visitation followed by a memorial service were held on November 30th at the
Hirsch West End Chapel on Otto, Blvd, Chicago Heights. Interment was
private.

Paul G. Michelis, Funeral services were held February 28, 2004,he was a
retired welder repairman at the Chicago Stamping Plant and a member of
UAW Local 588.

Mr. Michelis was a resident of Mokena, IL and formerly of Morgan Park. He
was 62.

He is survived by his wife, Marianne; his daughters, Dawn Michelis, and Paula
(fiance Steve Vogt) Michelis; his sister, Myrna Otagawa; and his nieces, Cindy
and Christi Simon.

Arrangements were made by the Vandenberg Funeral Home, 19604 S. Wolf
Rd., Mokena, IL. The interment was private.

Midgett, Chester R.

Chester R. Midgett, age 75, a retired floor inspector at the Chicago Stamping
Plant and a member of UAW Local 588 passed away Thursday, April 7, 2005
at St. Anthony Medical Center. He had been a Merrillville, IN resident his
entire life.

Visititation will be held at the Burns Funeral Home 10101 Broadway, Crown
Point, IN on Monday from 2:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Immediately after the
visitation the Sons of the American Legion will conduct services followed by
funeral services officiated by Rev. Greg Lee. In lieu of flowers, contributions
may be made to the family.

Mr. Midgett is survived by his wife, Joyce; his daughter, Debbie (Brian)
Hernandez of Merrillville; his sons, Jospeh (Jackie) Midgett of Wheatfield, IN,
Thomas (Sandy) Midgett of Munster, IN, and Chester (Christine) Midgett of
Crown Point; his grandchildren, Andrew, Bailey, Danielle, Ashley, Joseph and
Joshua Midgett and Kent Greer; his faithful pets, Scooter and Toby; his
brother, Richard (Pat) Midgett of Crown Point; his brother-in-law, Bob Cox of
Merrillville; his sisters-in-law, Genny (Clay) Arndt of Crown Point; and Gloria
(John) Jewett of Thayer, IN; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded
in death by his father and mother, Chester and Mabel Midgett, and his sister,
Laura Cox.

Mr. Midgett was a member of the Sons of American Legion and an avid
fisherman.
Milasich, Rudolph "Rudi"

Rudolph "Rudi" Milasich, Past President of UAW Local 588 from 1964-1966
and a retired Automation Millwright at the Stamping Plant passed away
Tuesday, December 17, 2002. Mr. Milasich also served as the Local's
Financial Secretary and as the Bargaining Chairman, and as an officer of the
Local 588 Retirees Chapter. He was 89.

He is survived by his wife Estelle Milasich, Calumet City, IL; a daughter,
Rhonda Ann (Jim) Miller of Annapolis, MD; two sons, Rudolph (late Renate)
Milasich, Jr. of Pittsburgh, PA and Kurt (Maureen) Milasich of Silver Springs,
MD; four grandchildren, Ann and Elizabeth Miller, Illia and Nicholas Milasich; a
brother, John (late Jan) Milasich of New Port Richey, FL; a sister, Mary (late
Joe) Schematz of Merrillville, IN and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Friday, December 20 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Hennessy-Nowak
Funeral Home, 400 Pulaski Road (154th St.) Calumet City. Members of the
Coronata Council #3806, of which Mr. Milasich was a member and past Grand
Knight, will meet at 7:00 p.m. in his behalf.
Funeral Mass at 9:30 a.m. at St. Victor Church, Memorial Drive at Hirsch
Street, Calumet City. Entombment will be at St. John/St. Joseph Mausoleum,
Hammond, IN.

In addition to his services to the UAW Local 588 and the Coronata Council,
Mr. Milasich was both a Scout Master and a Cub Leader in Boy Scout Troop
#155, and a board member and past president of School District #155. He
was past president of Branch #195 Italian Catholic Federation, a member of
Sons of Italy Loggia 11 Maggio 1860 #1065, and past president of Coronata
Fourth Degree Group. He was a member of St. Victor Church for 61 years.
Miller, Gary Wayne

Gary Wayne Miller, 60, of Grant Park, IL formerly of Chicago Heights, IL, died
Saturday, January 28, 2006 at St. Margaret Mercy Healthcare in Hammond,
IN. Mr. Miller was a retired cleaner at the Chicago Stamping Plant and a
member of UAW Local 588.

He is survived by his wife, Linda; one son and daughter-in-law, Wayne and
Nancy Miller of Aroma Park, IL; two daughters and sons-in-law, Deanna and
Tim Colclasure of Bourbonnais, and Kristie and Joseph Kaski of Grant Park;
one brother and sister-in-law, Jerry and Sharon Miller of Zephyr Hills, FL; and
seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Byrl Francis
and Mary Martin Miller.

Mr. Miller was a member of College Church of the Nazarene, where he served
as youth minister. He was also a scout leader for the Boy Scouts in Grant
Park.

Visitation was held Tuesday, January 31 at the Hub Funeral Chapel, Grant
Park. Jeff Crosno and Rev. Debra Bull officiated at services the next day at
the College Church of the Nazarene in Bourbonnais. Burial was in Momence
Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family.
Miller, George Henry

George Henry Miller, retired AT at the Chicago Stamping Plant and a member
of UAW Local 588 passed away in Florida on November 15, 2004. He was 72.
He is survived by his sister, a brother and his nephew, Jack Owens.

According to his nephew, Mr. Miller ran the draw presses on the old 8-12 line
before retiring in the early 1990's.

A memorial service officiated by Reverend Duane Eatmon of the Treasure
Island Baptist Church was held on November 22, 2004 at the Bass Funeral
Chapel. The Bass Okeechobee Funeral Home and Crematory handled the
arrangements.
Minix, Aaron

Aaron Minix, 63, of Winamac, died Tuesday, May 28, 2002. He was a retired
Sheetmetal Journeyman at the Stamping Plant, a member of UAW Local 588,
M.A.D.D. and the 1957-1958 North Judson Semi-State Basketball team.

He was born March 3, 1939 to Ova and Ollie Fletcher Minix in Magoffin
County, Kentucky. On October 24, 1964 he married Rita Pulla in Winamac, IN.

Survivors include his wife, Rita at home; one son, Douglas (Mary) Minix of
Fremont; two daughters, Paula (Don) Boisvert and Shelly (Mike) Sallee, both
of Winamac; seven grandchildren, Adrienne Minix of Goshen, Camryn and
Brandon Boisvert, McKenzie, Danielle, Alaina and Corey Sallee, all of
Winamac; three brothers, Wilkus (Beverly) Minix of Knox, and Lacy and
Ronnie Minix, both of Winamac; four sisters, Irene (Denver) Minix of Winamac,
Ellazene Schadek of Knox, and Wanda (Charles) Timmons and Nella (Jim)
Kersting both of North Judson; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was
preceded in death by his parents; one son, Daniel Boyd Minix; and one sister
Margerella Minix.

Visitation was held Friday, May 31, 2002 at the O'Donnell Funeral Home in
North Judson. Services were held at the funeral home with Arnold Minix
officiating. Burial was at Highland Cemetery in North Judson.

Ron Minix, a retired machine repairman at the Chicago Stamping Plant,
passed away recently.

Arrangements were handled by the O'Donnell Funeral Home, 302 Lane St.,
North Judson, IN. A wake was held at the funeral home on October 8, 2002.

Funeral services were held on October 9 at the Freewill Baptist Church in
Knox, IN.

James Moore, Jr., a Fork Lift Driver at the Stamping Plant and a member of
UAW Local 588, passed away recently. Visitation was held on July 5, 2003 at
the Christ For Everyone Ministries, Ford Heights, IL.
Moyer, Phillip

Phillip L. Moyer, retired Tool and Die maker from the Chicago Stamping Plant
and a member of UAW Local 588 passed away Friday, June 17, 2005 at
Provena St. Mary's Hospital in Kankakee. He was a resident of Grant Park, IL.
Services will be private.

Mr. Moyer is survived by his wife, Beverly; one son and daughter-in-law,
Preston and Kelly Moyer of Omaha, NE; one daughter and son-in-law, Penny
and Dean Magruder of Limestone; one sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and
Houland Mann of Harrison, MI; four brothers and three sisters-in-law, Daryl
and Virginia Moyer of Shreveport, LA, Harold and Imogene Moyer of Peoria,
Charles and Bonnie Moyer, Jerry Moyer of Zion; three granddaughters; and
many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Till and
Hattie Moyer; and one sister Donna Moore.

Mr. Moyer was a longtime member of the Grant Park Fire Department to which
the family would appreciate memorials be made. Fred C. Hub Memorial
Chapel, Grant Park, is in charge of arrangements.
Murphy, Thomas Francis

Thomas Francis Murphy, 75, of Monee, IL, died Tuesday, May 30, 2006 at St.
James Hospital in Olympia Fields, IL. He was a retired automation press
operator at the Chicago Stamping Plant and a member of UAW Local 588.

Mr. Murphy is survived by his wife, Della Jane, his sons, Gary Murphy,
Norman Zblewski, Daniel (Cathy) Zblewski, and Alan (Marita) Zblewski; and his
daughters, Debra (Wayne&341; Coners, Theresa Zblewski, and Patricia
(Patrick) Ranallo; eleven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was
preceded in death by his daughter, Tina Zblewski.

A memorial visitation and service with the family was held at the Crete Funeral
Home, Crete, IL. Interment was private.
