| Evans, Frank C. Frank Charles Evans, a retired Die Setter at the Stamping Plant and a member of UAW Local 588 passed away Friday, July 4, 2003 at Riverside Medical Center. He was 84 and a resident of Bradley, IL. Services were held at the Schreffler Funeral Home, Kankakee, IL. The Rev. Richard Sagarsee officiated. Burial was in Aroma Park Cemetery. Mr. Evans is survived by his wife Mary Joyce; one stepson and stepdaughter-in-law, Tom and Alice McVey of Kankakee; one stepdaughter and stepson-in-law, Sue and Mike Nickles of Bourbonnais; one brother and sister-in-law, Bob and Carol Evans of Orland Park; four stepgrandchildren; five stepgreat-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Ella Evans. Mr. Evans retired from Ford Motor Co. in 1982 after more than 25 years of service. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a member of Central Christian Church in Bourbonnais; he enjoyed golfing, bowling and all sports especially the Chicago Cubs. |
| Evans, Robert V. Robert V. Evans, a retired superintendent at the Chicago Assembly Plant, passed away on Sunday, September 26, 2004. Mr. Evans lived n Hobart, IN. He was 74. It had been erroneously reported that he was a retiree from the Stamping Plant. Mr. Evans is survived by his wife, Beth; his children, Bob (Fran) Evans of Griffith, IN, Peggy (Jack) Hauer of Monticello, IN, Paula (Tommy Skopelja) Evans of Highland, IN, Julie (Gary) Cvitkovich of Ore City, TX; his grandchildren, Amber (Jason) McNeiley of Merrillville, IN, Casey (Steve) Varady of Dyer, Wayne Hauer of Hawaii, Joe Hauer of Monticello, Alyssa and Aaron Cvitkovich of Ore City, TX; and his great-granddaughter, Paige Varady. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bob and Bess Evans. Funeral arrangements were made by Burns-Kish Funeral Home, 921 West 45th Ave., Griffith, IN. Visitation was on Wednesday, September 29 with funeral services the following day. Burial was at Ridgelawn Cemetery, Gary, IN. Mr. Evans retired from Ford Motor Company after 28 years. He was a member of the Homewood Lions Club and an avid golfer. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Leukemia Society of America in his memory. INFO: 219-924-4100. |
