James Davenport, a retired Welder Repairman from the Chicago Stamping
Plant passed away recently. Services were held at the Roselawn Funeral
Home in Decatur, AL on Saturday, October 12, 2002.

Day, Ralph D.

Ralph D. "Maverick" Day, retired Chicago Stamping Plant Automation Tender
in Dept. 21 Door Line area and a member of UAW Local 588 passed away in
Valporaiso, IN at the VNA Horton Hospice Center Sunday, March 6, 2005. He
was 77.

Mr. Day had retired to The Villages, FL where he had family. Formerly, he
lived in DeMotte/Roselawn, IN. He was born in Washington, IN to Elmer and
Maude Day and graduated from Epsom High School, Epsom, IN. He retired
from Ford Motor Company in 1994.

Mr. Day is survived by his daughter, Janet (Rick) Crim of Hebron, IN; 3
grandchildren, Isaac Garcia, Grace Crim, and Mary Crim; his sisters, Helen
Alexander of Tampa, FL, Wilma Eagle of Madisonville, KY, and Marjorie
Wheeler of Emison, IN; and his brother, Dale Day of The Villages, FL. His
parents preceded him in death.

Following cremation at Angelcrest Crematory, at Moeller Funeral Home,
Valparaiso, IN, a memorial service will be held in Hopkinsville, KY, at a later
date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the VNA
Hospice of Porter County.

Mr. Day enjoyed computers, golf, and dancing.
DeFoe, Raymond

Raymond DeFoe, retired from Ford Motor Company Chicago Stamping in
1985 and a member of UAW Local 588, passed away Wednesday, March 24,
2004. Services were held at the Rose Funeral Home, 1421 N. Broadway,
Knoxville, TN 37917.
Des Forges, Norman E.

Norman E. Des Forges, a retired engineer from the Ford Stamping Plant,
passed away May 4, 2002 at the age of 78. Services were held Wednesday,
May 8 at Panozzo Brothers Funeral Home in Chicago Heights.

Before Mr. Des Forges was an engineer, he was a welder repairman at the
Stamping Plant. He was a member of the American Legion Thornton Post and
he was a World War II Army Air Corps veteran.

He is survived by his wife Shirley; son Michael (Tina) of Canon City, CO,
grandchildren Rachel, Danielle, Nicole, Candace, Timothy Jr., Brittany, Kayla
and Christopher, and great-granddaughter Kaden Pinkerman. He is also
survived by his sister Madeline (late Eugene) Gorman, and brother Milton
(Margaret). He was preceded in death by his son Timothy in 2000 and his
brother Edmund (Colette).
Diment, Henry

Henry Walter Diment, 62, retired from the Utility Welding Lines at the Chicago
Stamping Plant and member of UAW Local 588, passed away Thursday, May
13, 2004. Funeral arrangements were made by the Gerardi Funeral Home in
Frankfort, IL and were held on Sunday, May 16, 2004.

Mr. Diment is survived by his wife, Myrtle; his son Brian (Donna) Diment,
Mercer, WI; his sister, Evelyn (Gerald) Weiser, Steger, IL; his brother, Russell
Demint, Grant Park, IL; and his grand-daughter, Jessica Diment. He was
preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Mildred Bettenhausen; one
brother, Freddie; and two sisters, Darlene and Marsha.

Mr. Diment was a member and church officer at Good Shepherd Lutheran
Church, a member of the Frankfort Lions Club, and a volunteer firefighter with
the Frankfort Volunteer Fire Department.

Memorials to the Frankfort Lions Club would be appreciated.
Douglas, Arthur L. 'Buttermilk'

Arthur L. "Buttermilk" Douglas, South Bend, IN, a retired die setter at the
Chicago Stamping Plant and a member of UAW Local 588, passed away
Wednesday, August 23, 2006 at Memorial Hospital, South Bend, IN.

Mr. Douglas was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur L. Sr. and Juanita
Douglas; his son, Arthur L. Douglas III; his sister, Pamela Mitchell; and his
brother, Robert Douglas.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara A. Douglas; eight daughters, Joann
Williams of South Bend, Charae (Robin) Anderson of CA, Julie Douglas of St.
Louis, MO, Camille (William) Berry of Granger, IN, Jenice (Jeremy) Tavorn of
South Bend, IN, Tiffany Douglas of Mishawaka, IN, Stacey and Joanna
Douglas of AL; two sons, Jermaine (Latosha) Douglas of Detroit, MI, Bryan
Douglas of South Bend; and 25 grandchildren. He is also survived by his
brother, Tillman (Cheri) Douglas of Ohio; three sisters, Sylvia (John) Douglas,
Jean (Arthur) Moore, and Joanna Kendricks of CA; and a host of nieces,
nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral arrangements were handled by the Guy and Allen Funeral Directors,
Inc. with visitation on August 28 at the chapel. Interment was at Evergreen
Memorial Park.
Drennen, William P.

William P. Drennen, 73, formerly of Matteson, died in Sun City, AZ, June 27,
2002. Mr. Drennen worked in production at the Stamping Plant, retiring about
ten years ago. He had been ill for some time. Drennen is survived by two sons.
Duke, Melvin

Melvin Duke, Johnson City, IL, age 90, was a retired material handler at the
Chicago Stamping Plant and a member of UAW Local 588 passed away in
February, 2006. He was brother to George Duke, a former union leader in
Local 588.
Dulaney, Melvin

Melvin Dulaney, a retired Pipefitter at the Chicago Stamping Plant and a
member of UAW Local 588, passed away the week of April 5, 2004.

Services were held at the Woods Funeral Home, 1003 S. Halsted St., Chicago
Hts., IL. on April 9. The funeral service was held at the St. Bethel MB Church,
Chicago Heights.
Dunn, Stepen
Dust, Earl J.

Earl J. Dust, age 70 of Chicago Heights, IL, passed away Friday, September
29, 2006.

Mr. Dust drove the draw-die buggy at the Chicago Stamping Plant where he
retired after 35 years. He was a member of UAW Local 588. In retirement, Mr.
Dust enjoyed farming and caring for his farm animals.

He is survived by two children; Raymond (Brandy) Dust of Chicago Heights,
and Tina (Derold) Greek of Manteno, IL; and five grandchildren, John,
Michael, Ashley, Katy and Tyler. He is also survived by three brothers, Roy
Dust, Eddie (Jerri) Dust and Clem (Kathy) Dust; two sisters, Elaine (Bob)
Bohling and Bev (Rou) Fetech; several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Dust was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Evelyn in 1991; one
brother, Harry (Terrie) Dust; and his parents, Florence and Raymond Dust.

The Fagen Miller Funeral home, 1920 Hart Street, Dyer, IN, handled the
funeral arrangements with visitation held on Monday, October 2 and a service
the next day. Burial was at Calvary Cemetery in Steger, IL.
