Calvin, Terry L.

Terry L. Calvin, of Bourbonnais, IL passed away Wednesday, May 21, 2003.
He was a retired Automation Millwright with 32 years at the Stamping Plant
and a member of UAW Local 588. He was 65.

Mr. Calvin was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene of Kankakee, IL
and an active member in the Ford Motor Coach Association, and the AGAPE
Riders Motorcycle Club. He was a NASCAR fan and enjoyed reading and
working on cars and motorcycles.

He is survived by his wife, Karen of Bourbonnais; one son and special friend,
Richard Calvin and Caroline Cole of Seneca; one daughter and son-in-law,
Denise and Stephen Mitchell of Limestone; one sister and brother-in-law,
Faye and Art Burnside of Denton, TX; and six grandchildren, Heather,
Rachael and Michael Calvin and Megan, Zachery and Louren Mitchell.

He was preceded in death by his parents Oral and Nola Jones Calvin; two
brothers, Kenneth and Ray Calvin; and two sisters Mabel and Ruth Calvin.

Visitation will be held Friday, May 23, from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the
Bourbonnais Chapel of the Schreffler Funeral Homes, 1100 N. Covent St.
(815-929-1401). He will lie in state at the First Church of the Nazarene on
Saturday from noon until services at the church at 1:00 p.m. Dr. Edward Heck
will officiate. Burial will be in Kankakee Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Kankakee County Training Center for the
Disabled.
Carroll, Henry 'Hank' W.

Henry "Hank" W. Carroll, a retired Welder Repairman at the Stamping Plant
and a member of UAW Local 588 passed away Saturday, May 31, 2002 at
Provena St. Joseph Medical Center, Joliet, IL. He was 83.

Mr. Carroll is survived by his wife of 57 years Belva, his son and
daughter-in-law Gerald and Norma Carroll; daughters and sons-in-law, Linda
and Dale Lancaster, and Donna and Daniel Leonard; grandchildren Justin
and Derek Lancaster, and Nathan and Joseph Leonard; his sister Mary
Holder, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his grandson, Daniel Ray Leonard; his parents
Samuel and Virgie Young Carroll; two sisters and two brothers.

Mr. Carroll retired from Ford Motor Company after 35 years of service. He was
a veteran of the U.S. Air Force during World War II. He was a member of Joliet
Services were held on at the Tezak Funeral Home, Joliet, on Tuesday, June 3.
Interment was at the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL.

Cary, Max E.

Max E. Cary, 77, of Homewood died June 21, 2002. He was a retired safety
engineer at the Stamping Plant and he served in the United States Marine
Corp from 1943-1945.

Mr. Cary is survived by his wife, Barbara; three sons, Greg (Karen) Cary,
Jeffrey (Monique) Cary, and Robert (Melanie) Cary; two daughters, Nancy
(Roy) White, and Janice (Fred) Boitano; and three step-daughters, Karen
(Tony) Pappas, Sharon (Richard) Mechalski, and Veronica (Gary) Clark; 19
grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

Services were held at the Kerr-Parzygnot Funeral Home, Chicago Heights, IL.
Cave, George L.

George L. Cave, a retired Fork Truck Driver passed away December 2, 2003
at St. Margaret Mercy Medical Center, Hammond, IN. He was 71 and had
worked at the Chicago Stamping Plant and was a member of UAW Local 588
for 38 years.

He is survived by his wife, Violet; two daughters, Traci (Jeff) Marquardt of Elk
Grove Village, IL and Tiffany Cave of Crete, IL. He is also survived by two
grandchildren, Taylor and Samantha Marquardt; two sisters, Doris (Clyde)
Beard and Ruby Schele; and his brother W.G. (Sylvia) Cave.

Funeral services were provided by the Smits Funeral Home - Steger Memorial
Chapel, Steger, IL on December 5. Interment was in Skyline Memorial Park,

Childress, Jessie

Jessie Childress, of Sauk Village, IL, a retired Baler Operator at the Chicago
Stamping Plant and a UAW member, passed away Tuesday, October 15,
2002. He was a U.S. Navy veteran who served in Korea.

Mr. Childress is survived by his daughter, Kimberly (William) Wilson of Crown
Point, IN; his son, Jessie Childress, Jr. of Sauk Village; ten grandchildren and
eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dwen (Dee)
and his son, James Douglas Childress.

Visitation and funeral services were held at the Steger Memorial Chapel,
Steger, IL. Burial was at Skyline Memorial Park, Monee, IL.

Linton Cole, a retired Automation Utility Worker and a member of UAW Local
588, passed away recently. Wake and funeral services were held at the
McCullogh Funeral Home, 1621 Lincoln Highway, Ford Heights, IL on
Saturday, April 26.
Coleman, Milton

Milton Wesley Coleman, a blanker operator who retired from the Chicago
Stamping Plant and a member of UAW Local 588 passed away Friday,
February 25, 2005. He was 73.

Mr. Coleman is survived by his four children and their families. He was
preceded in death by his wife, Mercealea, and his sister, Clara Coleman
Goode.

Mr. Coleman was a native of Port Gibson, Mississippi; baptized at an early
age at Trinity Missionary Baptist Church in Gary, IN., excelled in Varsity
Football at Roosevelt High School and then joined the Airforce after
graduation. He also participated in the 1963 Civil Rights March on
Washington. He worked at Ford Motor Company for 30 years where he was
active in UAW Labor Relations and served on Civil Rights and Equal
Application Committees.

Gatling Funeral Home of Chicago, IL provided funeral services on
Wednesday, March 3, 2005. Burial was at Lincoln Cemetery in Blue Island, IL.

Cowles, Ronald D.

Ronald D. Cowles, 60, of Ford Heights, died July 8, 2005. He was a member
of UAW Local 588 and an employee of Ford Motor Company. He was also a
U.S. Army Vietnam War Veteran. Arrangements were made by McCullough

Willie Crater, a retired die setter at the Stamping Plant passed away this
month, August, 2002. Services were held on August 14, 2002. No further

Creighton, Ronald K.

Ronald K. Creighton, 73, of Griffith, IN passed away on Thursday, November
11, 2004. He was a retired Tool & Die Manager at the Chicago Stamping Plant.

He is survived by his wife, Florence; three children, Kent (Jill) Creighton of
Hebron, IN, Karen (Jeff) Ciesco of Cedar Lakem IN, and Robert Creighton of
Richland Center, WI; five grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and one
brother, Jack Creighton of Barrington, IL.

Private funeral services were held on Saturday, November 13, 2004 at the
Fagen-Miller Funeral Home, 2828 Highway Ave., Highland, IN with Rev. Robert
Hasselbring officiating. Burial was at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens,

Schererville, IN. Mr. Creighton was retired from the Ford Motor Company after
34 years of service. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army during the Korean War
and was a member of the Griffith American Legion Post 66 and a lifetime
member of the NRA. Memorials to a charity of choice would be appreciated.

Lino Crestani, a retired Tool and Die Maker who retired from the Chicago
Stamping Plant over twenty years ago and who was a member of UAW Local
588 passed away Tuesday, April 8, 2003. Visitation will be held at the
Panozzo Funeral Home, 530 W. 14th Street, Chicago Heights, IL on Friday,
April 11 from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be said on
Saturday, April 12 at 10:00 a.m. at the Infant Jesus of Praque Church, 1121
Douglas and Flossmoor Road, Flossmoor, IL.
Crisman, Louis G.

Louis "Louie" G. Crisman, age 60, of Merrillville, IN, passed away on
Thursday, September 4, 2003. Mr. Crisman was employed at the Stamping
Plant with 33 years service. He was a member of UAW Local 588, a Vietnam
Army Veteran and an avid fisherman.

He is survived by his wife, Loretta "Lou" Crisman; his daughter, Misti (Joe)
Ferkull of Merrillville; three grandchildren Joey, Scot and Brooke; his mother,
Agnes Fuhrmark of Portage, IN; his sister, Claire Bisch of Hobart, IN; and
many loving nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his
father Guy Crisman.

Funeral services were held Monday, September 8, 2003 at the Geisen
Funeral Home, Merrillville, with Pastor Jere Gowin officiating. Burial was in
Calumet Park Cemetery, Merrillville.
Crofton, R. C. Joseph

R.C. Joseph Crofton, a retired automation millwright at the Chicago Stamping
Plant and a member of UAW Local 588 passed away Wednesday, December
1, 2004 at his home. He was 77 and a longtime resident of Lake Station, IN,
moving here from Florida.

Mr. Crofton is survived by his wife of 51 years, Loretta; his children, Lonnie
(Diane) Crofton of Hobart, Rowena (Bill) Owens of Portage, Michael Crofton of
Portage, Deborah (Randy) Holland of LaPorte, Robert Crofton of Portage,
Terry (Polly) Crofton of Lake Station, Lisa (Jack) Barnes of Portage; sisters,
Jessie Mae (Johnny) Hudson of GA, Virginia Young of FL, Marlene Knowles of
FL; 16 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and
nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Minnie
Crofton; brother, Homer Crofton; sister Doritha Crofton; and step-grandson
Josh Yates.

Mr. Crofton served in the Army during WWII. He was a member of the
Lighthouse Tabernacle Pentecostal Church in Michigan City, and was a
former member of the United Pentecostal Church of Portage. He was actively
involved with the Christian Intervention Program, and enjoyed his Friday
mornings with the Ford Retirees Breakfast Club. He will be remembered by his
family as a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

Friends may visit from 2:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 2, 2004 at the
United Pentecostal Church of Portage, 2865 Willowdale Rd., Portage, IN.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 3, at the church with
the Rev. Kevin Schramm and the Rev. James Fielder officiating. Burial will
follow in Chapel Lawn Cemetery in Schererville. Rees Funeral Home, Hobart
assisted with arrangements. Memorial contributions can be made the Hospice
of Porter County.

John A. Cowser, Jr., a retired Salvage Repairman at the Chicago Stamping
Plant and a member of UAW Local 588, passed away Thursday, March 16,
2006. He had been a resident of Lansing, IL. He was 81. Funeral services
were held on Monday, March 20.
