Alexander, Arther

Arther Alexander, welder repairman at the Stamping Plant passed away Friday, May
24, 2002. Services were held at the Christ First Baptist Church in Harvey, IL with
burial in Washington Cemetery, Homewood, IL.

Mr. Alexander was born in 1934 in Mississippi. He is survived by his wife Nadie; his
daughters Lottie Ross of Richton Park, Stephanie (Robin) Jones of North Carolina,
Vernessal Drew and Kathleen Alexander, both of California; his son Arther Jr.
(Audrey); and his sisters Lucille Griffin of Harvey and Hester (Audrew) Nelson of Ford
Heights. He is also survived by his brothers Milton (Hattie) Alexander of Harvey, Acie
(Diana) Shannon of Park Forest, Leon (Louise) Shannon and Luietant (Maxine)
Shannon, both of Ford Heights; 16 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Allen, James A.

James A. Allen, a retiree from the Chicago Stamping Plant passed away the first
week of June, 2005. He was 85 and had retired in 1975. Services were held June 6,
2005 at the Calahan Funeral Home, 7030 S. Halsted St., Chicago, IL (773) 723-4400.
Alverez, Alvaro

Alvaro Alverez, a Retiree from the Chicago Stamping Plant and a member of UAW
Local 588 passed away recently. Visitation took place at the Hirsch Funeral Home,
Chicago Heights, IL on Sunday, July 27, 2003. Funeral services were held at St.
Agnes Church, Chicago Heights, on Monday, July 28 at 10:00 a.m.
Anderson, Lawrence

Lawrence Anderson, a retired oiler at the Chicago Stamping Plant and a member of
UAW Local 588 passed away recently. He was a resident of Park Forest, IL. Visitation
was Friday, September 17, 2004 at the Holt Funeral Home, 175 West 159th St.,
Harvey, IL. Funeral services were held at the Matteson Church of Christ in Matteson.
Interment was at Skyline Memorial Cemetery in Monee.
Anello, John

John Anello, retired Chicago Stamping Plant Automation Electrician and member of
UAW Local 588, passed away May 7, 2006 at the Manteno Veterans Home. He was
80.

He is survived by his daughters; Catherine (John) Cook, Wooster, OH, Jamie Holland,
Naperville, IL, Claudia Duffy, Crown Point, IN and Judy (John) Roach, Monument CO;
his son, Patrick Lomax, Las Vegas, NV; his grandchildren, Kelly (Clint) Rosebush,
LCPL Michael Roach, Shawn Duffy and Lisa (Rick) Gabe; and his
great-grandchildren, Heather, Brandy, Taylor and Megan. He was preceded in death
by his parents; his wife, Patricia; and his brothers, Sam and George.

Mr. Anello was a veteran of WWII. He retired from Ford Motor Company after 25
years of service. He was a member of Manteno Amvets Post #107, American Legion
Post #13 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #2825. He was said to have a
voracious love of learning, enjoyed meeting and being with people and was loved by
everyone who met him. His cheery personality and wonderful sense of humor
contributed to the wealth of people who called him "Loving Father, grandpa and dear
friend."

A wake for Mr. Anello was held on Wednesday, May 10 at the Hirsch West End
Chapel, Chicago Heights. A funeral service was held at St. Agnes Church, Chicago
Heights. Interment was at Assumption Cemetery, Glenwood, IL.

Kankakee, IL 60901.
Argue Sr., Linell L.

Linell L. Argue, a retired Automation Tender, passed away Saturday, June 14, 2003.
Visitation and funeral services were held on Saturday, June 21 at the Portland Street
Church, Chicago Heights, IL.
Ashley, Clifford

Clifford Ashley of Hobart, IN, passed away Thursday, January 11, 2006 at Saint Mary
Medical Center. Mr. Ashley was an overhead crane operator at the Stamping Plant,
retiring after 33 years. He was a member of UAW Local 588. He was 81.

He is survived by his children, Naoma (Edward) Wheeler of OK, Deana (Joel)
Remaley of Hobart, Darrell Ashley of IL; his brother, Harold (Lois) Ashley of MO; his
grandchildren, Jeffrey (Patty), Jill and Scott Remaley; his great grandchildren, Joel,
Devon and Connor Remaley; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded
in death by his beloved wife, Virginia, his parents, Claud and Stella Ashley, his sister,
Florence Hale and his infant sister.

Funeral services were provided by the Rees Funeral Home, 600 W. Old Ridge Road,
Hobart on January 14. The Rev. Gerald T. Walworth officiated. Burial was at
Evergreen Cemetery, Hobart.

Mr. Ashley was a longtime area resident of Hobart. He served his country during
World War II in the European front with the Army. He was a member of American
Legion Post No. 54 and V.F.W. Post No. 5365. He made numerous donations to
charitable organizations and will be remembered by his family as a wonderful father,
grandfather, and great grandfather.
